Since its foundation in 1942, Nexen Tires has been Korea’s pre-eminent tyre-manufacturing company. With its 70-year-old technique, Nexen produced Korea’s first automobile tyres in 1956 and developed V-shaped 60-series rotation tyres.

In 2000, during its steady, leading growth in the domestic tyre industry, the company changed its name from ‘Woosung Tires’ to ‘Nexen Tires’ as part of its image innovation and has made distinctive improvements since then.

Nexen’s domestic market share has exceeded 20%, and the company is now a world-renowned global brand with more than 250 dealers in over 120 countries around the world. As a result Nexen has experienced a growth with exports of 460 million US dollars in 2008.
